North Central Ballet: The Nutcracker brings a beloved holiday ballet tradition to Fort Worth on December 6, 2026, at the I.M Terrel Performing Arts Center. The performance is part of the holiday-season run scheduled from December 4 through December 6. First performed in St. Petersburg in 1892, The Nutcracker follows Clara from a Christmas Eve celebration into a fantastical world after her nutcracker doll comes to life. The two-act ballet is known for its memorable music, including the “Waltz of the Snowflakes,” “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” and “Waltz of the Flowers.” Its signature stage moments often include a growing Christmas tree and the colorful Kingdom of Sweets. North Central Ballet's production is part of a long-standing holiday tradition enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

The performance typically features classical ballet choreography and a sequence of character dances, from the toy soldiers and Mouse King to the sweets of Act Two. The ballet generally runs about two hours, including one intermission; check event details for any production-specific timing. Festive attire is a popular choice for families attending a holiday performance.

Prices currently start around $40, with ticket costs varying by availability and seat location.

Venue and Seating Information

The I.M Terrel Performing Arts Center hosts this Fort Worth performance. Seating preferences depend on the event's final configuration, so review the available seating map before choosing tickets. Seats with a centered, unobstructed view are often a strong option for ballet, where watching formations and movement across the full stage is part of the experience.

For a production with detailed choreography and visual staging, consider balancing proximity with perspective: seats very close to the stage may make it harder to take in larger group scenes, while a centered seat farther back can provide a broader view. Confirm accessibility and seating details directly in the ticket listing before purchase.
